COURSE OBJECTIVE: To introduce the student to the concepts of Money & Banking.  Financial and Securities Markets will be studied along with some economic concepts.

bullet Week 1 – Chapter 1. Why study Money, Banking & Financial Markets?
bullet Week 2 – Chapter 2. An Overview of the Financial System. 
bullet Week 3 – Chapter 3. What is Money?
bullet Week 4 – Chapter 4. Understanding Interest Rates & Time Value of Money.
bullet Week 5 – Chapter 6. The Risk and Term Structure of Interest Rates.
bullet Week 6 - EXAM 1 will cover Chapters 1,2,3,& 4, the exact date will be announced in class.  Terms and sample questions for this exam are on my website.
bullet Week 7 – Chapter 8. An Economic Analysis of Financial Structure.
bullet Week 8 – Chapter 9. The Banking Firm & the Management of Financial Institutions.
bullet Week 9 – EXAM 2 will cover Chapters 6,8, & 9, the exact date will be announced in class.  Terms and sample questions for this exam are on my website.

90 – 100% = A
80 – 89 = B
70 – 79 = C
60 – 69 = D
0 – 59 = F

EXAM VALUES:
Exam 1 = 33%
Exam 2 = 33%
Exam 3 = 33%  (Final Exam)
